Terms of Service

Effective date: August 21, 2026

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are a legally binding agreement between you and Ideaz, the operator of the OutScore service at https://www.out-score.com (also styled “Out-Score”) (“OutScore,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By accessing or using OutScore, creating an account, or paying for a subscription, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy and Cookies Declaration.

1. The service

OutScore is web-based tournament management software for draft-style sports events, including hockey, football, and similar formats. Features may include live scoring and schedules, team and player rosters, live drafts, playoff brackets and standings, player accounts, tournament sharing, and related organizer tools.

We may add, change, or discontinue features. Public tournament pages, scoring, and other functions depend on data entered by organizers and on third-party infrastructure remaining available.

2. Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 13 years old to create an OutScore account. If you are between 13 and the age of majority where you live, you may use OutScore only with the consent of a parent or legal guardian who agrees to these Terms.

You are responsible for the accuracy of your account information, for keeping your password confidential, and for activity on your account. Notify us at Info@out-score.com if you believe your account has been compromised.

Accounts may use email and password or Google sign-in. Organizer and other privileged accounts that sign in with email and password require multi-factor authentication (an authenticator app and/or an email sign-in code). We may refuse, suspend, or close accounts that violate these Terms or that we reasonably believe pose a security or abuse risk.

Public signup may be enabled or disabled by us. When public signup is disabled, new accounts may be created only with a valid invitation code issued by a tournament organizer or by us.

3. Roles and tournament content

OutScore is used by organizers (who create and manage tournaments and may subscribe), scorekeepers and admins, team captains, invited players, and visitors who view public tournament pages.

Tournament information — including names, photos, jersey numbers, positions, scores, statistics, draft results, schedules, logos, and rules — may be visible to anyone with the tournament link. Organizers control what they publish. Do not upload information you do not have the right to share.

Organizers who enter player or participant information (including youth players who do not have their own accounts) are responsible for having any required consents and for complying with applicable privacy and sports-organization rules. OutScore does not independently verify those consents.

Captain access links and invitation codes are secrets. Anyone who has a valid captain link or unused invitation can use the access those tokens grant. Organizers must share them only with intended recipients and can revoke or replace them where the product allows.

4. Subscriptions, plans, and billing

Players and fans may use OutScore without paying. Paid plans are for organizers and currently include a free Rookie tier (limited tournaments and players), paid Club and Organizer subscriptions, and custom League quotes. Current prices, player caps, and tournament limits are shown on the Pricing page and may change for future billing periods.

Paid subscriptions are billed through Stripe. Payments may be monthly, every three months, or yearly, as selected at checkout. By subscribing you authorize Stripe to charge your payment method on each renewal until you cancel.

You may cancel at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period; you keep access until then. Plan upgrades that increase capacity are billed for the difference when you switch. Downgrades and switches to a shorter billing interval take effect at the end of the current period. Archived tournaments do not count against active-tournament limits.

Taxes, if applicable, may be added by Stripe. Refunds are not guaranteed except where required by law or where we agree in writing. Chargebacks or unpaid invoices may result in reduced entitlements or suspension of paid features.

Custom League plans are quoted separately. Contact Info@out-score.com for those arrangements.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use OutScore for unlawful activity, harassment, or to infringe others’ rights.
  • Attempt to access accounts, tournaments, or data you are not authorized to use, including by guessing invitation codes or captain links.
  • Interfere with the service, scrape it in a way that degrades performance, or reverse engineer it except as allowed by law.
  • Upload malware, or content that is illegal, pornographic, or that you do not have rights to use.
  • Circumvent plan limits, security controls, or multi-factor authentication.
  • Misrepresent scores, identities, or tournament results in a way intended to defraud participants or the public.

6. Your content and our license

You retain ownership of content you submit (names, photos, logos, rules, scores, and similar). You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive license to host, store, display, and process that content solely to operate, secure, back up, and improve OutScore, including displaying public tournament pages and generating share images or exports you request.

We may remove content or disable tournaments that violate these Terms or that we reasonably believe create legal, safety, or abuse risk.

7. Intellectual property

OutScore, its software, design, trademarks (including OUTSCORE and related logos), and documentation are owned by us or our licensors. These Terms do not grant you any right to copy, modify, or distribute our software or branding except for ordinary use of the service.

8. Third-party services

OutScore relies on third parties, including Google Firebase (authentication, database, storage, and hosting), Stripe (payments and the customer billing portal), and email delivery used to send verification messages, sign-in codes, invitations, and operational alerts. Their terms and privacy policies apply to their processing. An outage or change at a provider may affect OutScore.

9. Disclaimers

OutScore is provided “as is” and “as available.” Live scores, standings, drafts, and brackets depend on data entered by users and on network availability. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or suitable for officiating a game without independent verification.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, or tournament disruption, even if we were advised of the possibility.

Our total liability arising out of or relating to OutScore will not exceed the greater of (a) the amounts you paid us for OutScore in the twelve months before the claim or (b) CAD $100. These limits do not apply to liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

11. Indemnity

You will defend and indemnify us against claims, damages, and reasonable costs arising from your content, your tournaments (including player data you enter), your breach of these Terms, or your violation of law or third-party rights, except to the extent caused by our willful misconduct.

12. Suspension and termination

You may stop using OutScore and request account deletion as described in the Privacy Policy. We may suspend or terminate access for violation of these Terms, non-payment, security risk, or if we discontinue the service. Upon termination, your license to use OutScore ends. We may retain data as described in the Privacy Policy.

13. Changes

We may update these Terms. The effective date at the top will change. Material changes will be posted on this page and, where appropriate, noted in the product or by email. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree, you must stop using OutScore and cancel any paid subscription.

14. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta, Canada, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Courts located in Alberta, Canada have exclusive jurisdiction, except that we may seek injunctive relief in any forum to protect our intellectual property or the security of the service. If a provision is unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. These Terms are the entire agreement between you and us regarding OutScore.
