OutScore User Guide
Welcome to OutScore — tournament management with live scoring, team rosters, a live draft, and playoff brackets for rec hockey, soccer, basketball, flag football, volleyball, lacrosse, and ultimate.
This guide walks a first-time organizer from creating an account all the way through running a tournament: setting it up, adding people, drafting teams, scoring games live, running playoffs, and wrapping up the season. Every step is illustrated with screenshots taken from the real app.

How this guide is organized

The five-minute version
If you just want to get going, this is the whole flow:
- Create an account at Sign Up, verify your email, and pick email codes or an authenticator app. → Chapter 1
- In My Account → Events, press + and create your tournament. Every account includes one free Rookie event (up to 32 players and 4 teams). → Chapter 2
- Finish the Setup wizard: logo, colours, name, sport, and which features you want (draft, playoffs). → Chapter 2
- Add teams and players from the ScoreKeeper hub. → Chapter 3
- Invite a co-admin or scorekeeper, and send captain links to your captains. → Chapter 4
- Run the live draft (optional). → Chapter 5
- Schedule games and score them live — or copy a scorekeeper link and hand it to a volunteer. → Chapter 6
- Set up the playoff bracket from the standings. → Chapter 7
- Share the public link or QR poster so players and fans can follow along. → Chapter 8
- When it's over, export your data and archive the event so the credit is free for the next one. → Chapter 9
Who does what
OutScore has a small set of roles. You will meet them throughout the guide:

Plans at a glance
Players and fans are always free. Organizers pay per event — each paid credit covers one tournament, and every account has one free Rookie slot.

Conventions used in this guide
- Bold text is something you can see on screen: a button, a tab, a field label.
Monospaceis something you type or a URL such ashttps://www.out-score.com/YourTournamentID.- Screenshots come from a demo tournament called Maple Cup 2026. Your colours and logo will be whatever you choose in Setup.
Tip
OutScore is designed for phones at the rink. On a phone this guide shows the mobile screens; on a larger screen it shows the desktop layout.
